Wax Melt Safety

Wax Melt Safety Instructions

At Tillybell, we want every moment of fragrance to be safe, calm, and enjoyable. Our wax melts are hand-poured in the UK using clean coconut wax and premium fragrance oils for a smooth, even melt. Whether you use an electric or a tealight burner, please follow the steps below for a safe, worry-free experience.

1. Choose the Right Spot

Always place your wax burner on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials, draughts, and direct sunlight. Keep it out of reach of children and pets at all times.

2. Inspect Your Burner

Before each use, ensure your wax burner is clean, dry, and undamaged. Cracked or chipped burners can leak wax or overheat. If using a tealight model, check that the tealight sits securely and burns evenly.

3. Use Only Approved Wax Melts

Only use wax melts designed specifically for wax burners. Avoid adding fragrance oils, potpourri, or other substances. Tillybell melts are carefully formulated for safe, consistent performance.

4. Never Leave Unattended

Always supervise your wax burner when it's in use. Extinguish the tealight or switch off the electric burner before leaving the room or going to sleep.

Electric burners: Unplug after use and keep away from water or damp areas.

Tealight burners: Use only 4-hour unscented tealights. If the flame flickers or becomes too high, extinguish it immediately and allow the wax to cool.

5. Do Not Overfill

Only add enough wax to cover the bottom of the dish. Overfilling can cause wax to spill or overheat. Wait until the wax has cooled and set before removing and adding more.

6. Handle With Care

Wax burners can become hot during and after use. Allow them to cool completely before touching or cleaning. To remove old wax, gently warm the burner for a few seconds to loosen the wax - never scrape while cold.

7. Store Wax Melts Properly

Keep your wax melts in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat. Always store out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental ingestion or contact.

8. Electrical Safety

If using an electric wax burner, ensure it is plugged into a safe, fully working socket. Do not overload electrical outlets or use damaged cords. Unplug when not in use.

Enjoy Safe, Clean Fragrance

By following these steps, you'll enjoy your Tillybell melts safely and beautifully. Designed for clean burning and even fragrance release, each melt helps you create a calm, fragrant home - without compromise.
